The Minutes of the 4th meeting of the Executive Body of the Tripura Forest Environmental Improvement & Poverty Alleviation Society (TFIPS) held on the 20th December, 2008.

The 4th meeting of the Executive Body of the Tripura Forest Environmental Improvement & Poverty Alleviation Society (TFIPAS) was held under the Chairmanship of the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Tripura in the Conference Hall of Aranya Bhavan, Agartala on the 20th December, 08. The list showing the names of the Members of the body present and the invitees is appended.

The Member Secretary welcomed the participants and conveyed thanks to the PCCF for the constant guidance and patronage to address the outstanding issues. Discussions were held as per the agenda note circulated vide F.22-2(6)/For-JBIC/EB/07/4719-29 dated 15th December, 08 and after detailed discussions following resolutions emerged in the meeting:

Resolution no. 1: Review of progress of Project Components.
The Executive body noted with satisfaction the progress in execution of the various project components within the timeline fixed for the purpose.

Resolution no. 2: Progress of works assigned to the Rural Development Department.

The Rural Development Department has been assigned with the responsibility of construction of DMU/ RMU buildings including the staff quarters. A status paper on the progress of construction work is submitted in the meeting by the Superintending Engineer of R. D Department for perusal of the members of the Executive Body, a copy of which is appended at Appendix II. The position of construction, pace of work and other details were reviewed. The progress of work was found satisfactory.
Resolution no. 3: Review of status of assessment of Biodiversity Resources.

The inventorization work of the biodiversity resources of the Project shall be carried out in consonance with the provisions of the Biodiversity Rules and in consultation with the State Biodiversity Board.
Resolution no. 4: Release & placement of fund to the NPCC Ltd.
The NPCC Ltd. shall through power point present the proposal with necessary justification for placement of the additional amount of fund for the construction work at Udaipur, date of which shall be intimated shortly.
Resolution no. 5: Release and placement of fund to the Department of Fisheries.
A request was made by the Secretary, Department of Fisheries for placement of funds for creation of water bodies, pisciculture etc works and it was resolved that the Fisheries Department shall place requisition immediately for placement of fund with necessary justification.
