Expression of Interest for production of Video Documentaries /Short Films and Video Training Modules for the Tripura JICA Project

The Tripura JICA Project is executed by the Department of Forests on receipt of the ODA loan assistance from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Government of Japan. The aim of the Project is to restore degraded forests of the state and to improve the livelihoods of the tribal population engaged in shifting cultivation including rural poor and also to promote sustainable natural resource management through JFM thereby improving the environment and alleviating poverty. The Project Management Unit has now decided to develop a series of films to be used as promotional material as well as a tool for imparting training to the frontline staff of the Department and other project participants. Tentatively six films, targeting different profiles of audiences have been planned for the present.
i.Production of short duration Video Documentaries /Short Films targeting different level of Spectators/audience (three films).
ii.Production of Video Training Modules to be used as a tool during the training of project staff and other project participants (three films)
2.The Video documentaries/ short films to be produced have to be shot on Betacam format in different locations across the state. Interested parties, team of creative professionals proficient in the field and having atleast five years’ experience in film and documentary making/ production may submit within 26th October, 2009, their Expressions of Interest (EoI) complete in all respect as per the Terms of Reference (ToR). The details of ToR can be downloaded from the website of the Project, www.tripurajica.com and may be referred to before submission of the EoI. The details can also be had from the office of the undersigned on any working day during office hours.
3.The EoI complete in all respect (both technical and financial) as per the ToR in prescribed format along with security money of Rs. 2000/- in the form of bank draft drawn in favour of the Director(Administration & Finance), Tripura JICA Project may be submitted through registered post/ Courier and should reach the office of the undersigned in the Room no. 402, Aranya Bhavan, Pt. Nehru Complex, Agartala, 799006, Tripura by the 5.00 P.M (IST) of the 26th October, 2009 (last date). The EoI received after the last date shall not be considered as valid and shall be rejected accordingly.
