A full body meeting of the Executive Body of the Tripura JBIC Project under the chairmanship of the PCCF Tripura was held in the conference hall of Aranya Bhavan, Pt. Nehru Complex, Agartala on the 2nd September, 08. The meeting was also attended by the Officers of the Project Management Unit. The progress made so far in the field was reviewed on this day and fund received, utilized and disbursement made by the JBIC so far has been discussed and finalized. The members noted with satisfaction the disbursement of INR 86631776 by the Headquarters of JBIC at Tokyo in fact the entire amount utilized has been reimbursed by the JBIC barring the proposal sent in the month of July, 08.
The following issues figured in the meeting viz. Status of identification of the JFMCs where the project would be implemented and their demarcation, requirement of fund, Regrouping of forest villages etc.
The meeting of the Governing body shall be held on the 27th September, 08 and it was decided that the issues like renaming of the Project to Tripura JICA Project due to merger of the funding agency in Japan shall be taken up in that forum.
